The Standard Today earlier broke the news that Roxas left for Hong Kong to join his girlfriend, ABS-CBN newscaster Korina Sanchez who was celebrating her birthday there. He was scheduled to return to Manila late afternoon yesterday.

Asked by a journalist what he and Sanchez did while in Hong Kong, Roxas said: "We ate, we held hands and stared at each other's eyes."
