Korina's Farewell Speech On TV Patrol

Mga Kababayan, ito na po ang aking huling araw nang paghahatid ng balita sa inyong lahat dito sa TV Patrol. Sa dinami-dami po ng usap-usapan ay minarapat ko pong sa akin na po ninyong marinig ang aking pamamaalam, na harinawa ay pansamantala lamang.

Alam po ninyo napamahal na po kayo sa akin, (paused) sa loob ng halos limang taon matapos iwan ni Kabayan Noli de Castro ang upuang ito, ay araw-araw po tayong magkasama, tuwing (paused, looked like she was about to cry but held her composure) alas-sais ng gabi, pasensiya na po kayo minsan lang naman ako mag-indulhensiya ng ganito, at araw-araw po nating tinutukan ang mga balita, at sabay-sabay po tayong umakya't-baba sa kapalaran ng ating bansa, at ng ating mga mamamayan.

Tuloy-tuloy po ang pagsisilbi sa inyo ng ABS-CBN ng pinakahuli't pinakasariwang mga balita sa araw-araw, at nalalaman ko pong naniniwala kayong ang balita ay TV Patrol at ang TV Patrol ay balita.

Ang aking pagsaludo ay inaalay ko sa lahat ng bumubuo ng TV Patrol nuon, ngayon, at bukas, na siyang aking kinakatawan lamang, tulad ng pagkinatawan ng bawat anchor na umuupo sa upuang ito sa bawat pagupo at pagbigkas ng mga balita. Sila po ang tunay na bayani sa bawat edition ng TV Patrol, hindi po ang mukha na nagsasalita ngayon sa inyong harapan.

Ang aking pasasalamat sa management ng ABS-CBN sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob nila sa akin sa loob ng ilang taon, na maging mukha ng ABS-CBN news. It was an honor and a privilege to have been with you through TV Patrol all these years.

Nariyan lamang po ako sa tabi-tabi at magkikita pa rin tayong muli. Maraming salamat po. Maraming salamat sa inyong pagtitiwala.

ABS-CBN Announces Promotion Of Korina

ABS-CBN President Cito Alejandro announced Tuesday the appointment of popular television news host Korina Sanchez as the network's chief correspondent for local and global operations.

"In this capacity, Ms. Sanchez will be at the helm of covering major local and international events, thereby, taking a pioneering role in Philippine broadcasting," Alejandro said in a statement.

Sanchez will also serve as the company's subject matter expert on government and political affairs.

"The management of ABS-CBN realized that Ms. Sanchez has reached a stature in the broadcast industry that provides her the opportunity to dedicate her expertise and service to the public on a higher level. In recognition of the contributions of Korina to the broadcast industry, ABS-CBN management has decided to assign her a broader role in the network’s thrust to serve not only Filipinos here but globally as well," Alejandro said.

Sanchez will "continue to inform, educate and entertain the Filipino public with her topnotch and widely followed 'Rated K' TV program on ABS-CBN every Sunday as well as her daily morning radio program, 'Tambalang Failon at Sanchez' in DZMM."

Ms Sanchez is a consistent award winner as a producer, commentator and news anchor. Contrary to earlier speculations, it must be stressed that her performance as an anchor is not a material factor in ABS-CBN's decision to adopt the planned program changes in its news and current affairs shows.

In various capacities, Ms. Korina Sanchez has been connected with ABS-CBN for 18 years and with her new roles, she continues to be a valuable member of the network.

SENATOR Mar Roxas stands solidly behind TV broadcaster Korina Sanchez amidst the controversies hounding her.

"I am solidly behind Korina in whatever decision she will make with regards to her career," said the senator who has been openly admitting his serious affair with Ms. Sanchez. "I will never leave her in times of trouble."

Roxas maintains that the most recent crisis of Korina Sanchez will only bind them stronger.

The decision of ABS-CBN caught the neophyte senator by surprise, considering the fact that his girlfriend is a big asset to the company.

She was reportedly seen in a serious huddle with some GMA-7 bigwigs after the lady broadcaster was replaced by Karen Davila in the former's highly rated "TV Patrol" show.

Sanchez has denied the alleged meeting with GMA-7 honchos. No meeting with the GMA people ever took place, she said, but admitted she is still waiting for the ABS-CBN management to finalize her status as far as the "TV Patrol" program is concerned.

Sanchez clarified that her decision will be based on the management's plans and final decisions on the issue.

The primetime program has reportedly slipped to second place, with GMA-7 the number one. Known as the Queen of ABS-CBN, her replacement has the management stamp, starting with Luchi Cruz-Valdez, the network's vice president for Current Affairs.

Roxas said that the lady broadcaster is tough enough to handle the crisis as he expressed optimism that everything will turn out right for her.

"I am surprised and also saddened. I am solidly behind Korina in whatever decision she will make with regards to her career. She is a professional. And she is also one tough lady. She has weathered many crises in her life."

"There are ups and downs in every career. What has happened between her and her employer, that's between them, and that is something she will have to deal with considering her professional and personal goals. Whatever she decides to do, I am solidly behind her and I will support her decision," Roxas assured.

Roxas maintained that with or without her show in ABS-CBN, his concern and feeling for Ms. Sanchez will never be affected.

Senator Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez

Animo'y makata sa pagtula ng pag-ibig si Sen. Mar Roxas kay Korina Sanchez. Ito ang nasaksihan ng The Buzz Magazin sa ginanap na GO Kart sa The Fort kung saan isa sa mga lumahok ang senador. Sa unang bugso ng karera ay hindi agad nakarating ang maprinsipyong magandang broadcaster. Kaya tinutukso ng mga miron ang senador na kaya nangulelat ay dahil wala pa ang secret weapon niya.

Pagdating ni Koring, agad siyang tinutukan ng kamera at inianunsyo na hudyat na umano iyon ng pagbilis ni Sen. Mar sa karera dahil dumating na ang inspirasyon. Pero nadiskaril pa rin ang porma ng numero unong senador dahil na-conscious.

"Ayos lang. Tama na 'yung no.1 siya sa Senate. Sa kanila na 'yung no.1 sa karting," pagtatanggol agad ni Korina sa kasintahan.

"Nagsimula ako sa kulelat, nagtapos na kulelat pa rin. Pero masaya itong Go Kart lalo na kung kasama si Korina," dugtong naman ni Sen. Mar at saka tumula sa harap ng nililiyag. "Ang ganda ng gabi, nandito kami magkatabi! Ano pa ang hihilingin ng isang binata na nakakita ng isang tulad ni Korina?"

"May pagka-Balagtas ka pala, hindi ko alam!" sabay tapik ni Koring sa balikat ng kasintahan at ang tamis ng kanilang naging ngitian.

Pero sumeryoso ang dalawa nang matanong kung kailan ba ang kanilang kasal?

"Huwag muna ninyong apurahin," hirit ni Koring na nagnanais na maging parang mga bagets pa raw sila sa ligawan stage ngayon.
