hi there all. this is mar and korina, sunday 26sept.

we just finished a pancake brunch in the house of my cousin. yummy-sarap talaga. it was a mixed pinoy-american menu: pancake, tapa, danggit, scrambled eggs, tuyo and bacon with batangas brewed coffee.

one of their kids told us about this blog site...and so we decided to visit.

first of all congrats to the blog owner/designer-maintainer. its very well done and we're happy you treated us with dignity and good taste.

to all the site visitors, hello and we're happy you wish us well. sana nga magpatuloy ang aming masaya at magandang pagsasama.

last friday pm we treated ourselves to listening to side a band at the kart-zone facility in fort bonifacio. this was after mar competed in the celebrity go-kart race (teammates were goma, anjo yllana and bobby andrews). we came in fourth; ok lang but somewhat disappointing; i told mar to practice some more.

anyway, after the event they had the outdoor concert and it was wonderful to be just relaxed enjoying the music under the night sky.

well, thats all for now. take care, keep smiling. love you all.

mar and korina.

*Miss Korina and Sen. Mar, THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time out to visit this blog and for writing us a message. Hope you visit again soon. Take care of each other! :)

Mar-Korina Wedding Bells, Nakaiinip

People's Tonight

IT'S obvious na it's the real thing na nga between Korina Sanchez and Senator Mar Roxas. They were together na um-attend ng birthday celebration ni Senator Bong Revilla (who turned 38) na ginanap last Saturday sa Grand Pavilion ng Heritage Hotel.

The two were seated sa table ni former Senator Ramon Revilla, father ni Senator Bong and the newly commissioned head ng Philippine Estate Authority (PEA). They looked good together. Observers believed it's just a matter of time before the two to tie the knot.

Actually, we wonder what they are waiting for.

Korina at Senator Mar Roxas, Magpapakasal Na?!

Mar Roxas at Korina Sanchez? Hindi ba ang sinabi nila noon, after ng national election, na next year sila magpapakasal?

The Manila Speedzone at The Fort was suddenly glittering with stars recently. Normally as deserted as a desert on ordinary days, last Sept. 24, it certainly looked like Mecca with celebrities from the movies and television, fashion, and business gathering together and gearing up for an evening of karting.

Some guests stayed off course, like Korina Sanchez who came after wrapping up TV Patrol. And we all know why she had to rush from Mother Ignacia to The Fort, beating the Friday night traffic. Sen. Mar Roxas was among the celebrity participants, and he needed the inspiration.

A successful one night of fun, speed and sports

And so it came to pass.

The Nivea Celebrity Karting Challenge is probably the most successful celebrity event that has been organized so far with more than 50 celebrities attending - the biggest and brightest stars and even the most popular politicians.

After the awarding, champagne bursting and beautiful fireworks, the country's premiere band, Sida A, started playing for the crowd that had stayed, specifically for the lovey dovey couple Sen. Mar Roxas and Korina. The two stayed til the end of Side A's set, and we discovered that Korina is a self-confessed number one fan of Side A.

Senator Mar So Much In Love with Korina!

`Mr. Palengke' Talks About Love Over Kidapawan Radio

DAVAO CITY, Sept. 6 (PNA) -- `Mr. Palengke' is really in love.

In his visit Wednesday in Kidapawan City, in time for the culmination of the week-long celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of North Cotabato, Senator Mar Roxas can't hide his feelings for his girlfriend, ABS-CBN anchor Korina Sanchez.

Roxas guested at the weekly radio program of Gov. Emmanuel Piñol aired live over DXND and the two were having a light moment for an hour.

Piñol asked the senator how deep is his love for Korina, which made Roxas blush.

"Very serious. She is the only woman I am regularly going out with nowadays," was Roxas' curt reply to the governor's query.

Roxas, 47, admitted he was not getting serious with girls when he was still younger, especially when he went to the United States where he finished his post-graduate studies.

"This is the reason why the idea of getting married did not cross my mind during those years," he said.

But now,
with Korina on his side, he said he is "so much in love."

Roxas said he is spending so much time with this special someone.

"If we could not see each other daily, then, we make ways to talk over the phone," he said.

He said he had just talked with Korina before guesting at the radio program.

Mar and Korina: Romantic Duo

The Philippine Star
BY THE WAY
September 8, 2004
by Max V. Soliven

One of the latecomers to the dinner was Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas II, who arrived huffing and puffing. They had to iron out the last remaining glitches in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) extension before the "scheduled" ARMM elections next Monday. However, a caveat: the elections might have to be postponed anew.

And, of course, gorgeously present at the dinner was ABS-CBN's Korina Sanchez, who came over straight from her TV Patrol and other newscasting chores.

In a way, it wasn't just a birthday bash for me, given by STARGATE and its President/CEO, my partner, Babe Romualdez, but to "honor" our top cover girl, La Emperadora herself, who had appeared on four covers of People Asia in one year - one of our covers even being "borrowed"by her for her winning campaign poster. This announcement, naturally, came as a surprise to La Gloria, who had asked Babe to postpone the birthday affair to Sept. 6, so she could catch up with it on her return from China.

Also honored were the couple whose romantic cover photo in the June issue sold out within days of its coming off the press. That shot of the two, Mar and Korina, gazing soulfully into each other's eyes, was so much in demand that we had to do three printings of the publication. The second re-issue was sold out in the newsstands within four days! A third printing had to be done because US dealers demanded another 7,000 copies!

Would that soulful gaze into each other's eyes lead to the Altar? Or even to Malacañang? Mar, the formerly confirmed bachelor, merely blushed, and blushed, and looked both happy and flustered. Korina glowed on being ribbed about being a possible... uh, "future" First Lady, but didn't answer that query either.

Not being Ricky Lo, I'll guess no further.

Korina's Surprise

Inquirer News Service

By: Dolly Anne Carvajal

THE STUDIO audience and the staff of ABS-CBN's new youth debate show, "Y Speak," all got so giddy when Korina Sanchez popped up to surprise Sen. Mar Roxas, a guest judge in the show.

The fearless broadcast journalist in Korina softens up when it comes to matters of the heart. I remember her telling me once, "When you're in love, everyday with your boyfriend is memorable. Not just the first date."

She even shared in my girlish joys when she gamely agreed to help me surprise an ex-boyfriend of mine (who was her No. 1 fan) by joining us for lunch. That's how much of a true-blue romantic Korina is.
