His days as a bachelor may be numbered.
Sen. Mar Roxas, the most eligible bachelor politician, yesterday hinted in an informal lunch meeting with reporters that he might get hitched next year most probably with his current flame, veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez.
“All of us have dreams of getting married. I hope it happens," said Roxas who played coy to reporters probing him with personal questions.
When asked when he intended to get married, Roxas said: "Not today, not this month, and not this year. But there are 365 days next year."
Roxas, however, refused to say who he would walk down the aisle with although he did smile when Sanchez's name was mentioned by reporters.
Roxas and Sanchez have been linked romantically since the 2001 elections when the old rich family scion topped the senatorial race as "Mr. Palengke."
The couple has been the subject of wedding rumors over the past years with their public display of affection on television and public events. (A fan even put up a Mar-Korina blog spot on the web with news, text messages, and pictures of their trips and television appearances but this has not been updated since 2004).
