Wala na umanong mahihiling pa si dating Senador Mar Roxas na nagdiriwang ng kanyang 54th birthday ngayong araw, kungdi ang pagmamahal ng kanyang asawang si Korina Sanchez.

Sa isang panayam, ikinuwento ni Roxas na kagabi palang ay naghanda si Korina ng special dinner para sa kanilang dalawa subalit the best pa rin daw ang pagmamahal ng kanyang misis.

Kung maaalala, pinasinungalingan ni Korina ang kumalat na balitang hiwalay na sila ni Mar at sa katunayan aniya, "they are so much in love with each other."

Samantala, maaga palang kanina ay pumila ang dating senador sa Land Transportation Office (LTO) upang kumuha ng lisensya. Sa halip na mainip ay nag-enjoy itong manood ng laban ng Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls.

I bumped into an old friend, Tita Girlie Rodis. I asked GR, as she is fondly called in the biz, who among her wards—Rachel Alejandro, Mikee Cojuangco and my good friend Korina Sanchez—take up most of her time these days.

“They are all equally demanding in different ways and levels,” GR said.

I asked her why Korina wasn’t at Rachel’s wedding. GR said that Korina had a prior date with her husband Mar Roxas in some other Palawan resort that weekend.

“They both dive and I know they had planned that diving trip for quite some time now, so hindi na ako namilit. I really don’t know who started that chismis about them—anyone who sees them would never ever think they weren’t as in love as they were on their wedding day.

“I guess people just want to spin their own imagined teleseryes. They don’t even socialize as much. They just like being together at home. Korina’s in Cloud 9 that he’s out of politics—for now anyway.”

And what about that issue about Korina allegedly omitting the name of Vice President Jojo Binay in her newscast? “Anyone is welcome to air concerns or complaints,” said GR. “But the KBP didn’t see any violation, nor did the resident company ombudsman of ABS-CBN. I believe they have appropriately responded to the complainant.”
